Participants will utilize the Carbon and Emissions Recording Tool (CERT) developed in-house by UNGCNS during the group project.

During the project, they will:

  • Use CERT to track their company’s emissions.
  • Convene on day 2 to discuss their findings.

Participants will be provided with support from UNGCNS in using the CERT.

Course duration

2 Days

The 2 course days are approximately 1-2 weeks apart to allow time for the completion of a project assignment.

  • Each individual will only be supported once for each type of ESP-Sustainability Course
  • The company or TAC is liable to make full payment for the course fees if it or its participants are found to be ineligible or fail to complete the course.

1Registered and operating in Singapore.
2TACs will need to fulfil the following criteria:

a) registered with Registry of Societies (ROS) or Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA); and

b) defined as a non-profit organisation.

Director, Carbon Management, UNGCNS

Terence Tan is the Director (Carbon Management), of UN Global Compact Network Singapore. In this role, he oversees operational and strategic decarbonisation activities for CPLC (Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition) Singapore, which is the decarbonisation arm of UNGCNS.

Lin Qingyao

Assistant Manager

Mr. Lin Qingyao is the Assistant Manager (Upskilling & Recognition) at Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition Singapore, the decarbonisation arm of UN Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS). He facilitates capability building initiatives to support companies in their carbon management journey, including training workshops, tools development and network events.

The Enterprise Sustainability Programme (ESP) supports Singapore companies, especially our SMEs, to build capabilities and capture new opportunities.   • be equipped with key knowledge on carbon management – including carbon accounting, setting of targets and plans, means of decarbonization, and carbon disclosures/reporting – which can be used to lead efforts / applied in their businesses.
  • be able to establish a baseline of their company’s current carbon emissions (via the Carbon and Emissions Recording Tool), and identify key decarbonization pathways for their business (via the framework provided)

*Note: In line with our guiding values to leave no one behind, GCNS courses will be sector agnostic. Course fee of S$624 payable per eligible participant comprises of $480-course fee (if eligible for 70% Enterprise SG subsidy) + $144 for GST on the full course fee.

The subsidy is only applicable for up to 3 participants per business entity registered and operating in Singapore.

Participants must be nominated by their company as the company’s representatives for participation in this series of Sustainability Courses*.

Each individual will only be supported to participate in this ESP Decarbonisation Course once.

Company is liable to make full payment for the course fees if company or participants are found to be ineligible or fail to complete the course.

Course completion will be based on:

  • Participant’s attendance for the workshop
  • Successful award of Certificate of Completion
  • Completed post-course feedback/survey
